TVC Bookmakers Trade Fair, Thursday 26th October 2017

TVC ARE SYNONYMOUS with the UK’s betting and gaming industry and with the acquisition of the BOS Bookmakers Trade Fair in 2015 we were keen to ensure the show went from strength to strength.

We chose Cranmore Park Conference Centre in Solihull as the new home of the TVC Bookmakers Trade Fair. This was largely down to the cancellation of night racing at the previous location in Wolverhampton. The new venue, located on the outskirts of Birmingham, has received positive feedback from both exhibitors and visitors alike.

The essence and tradition of the Bookmakers’ Trade Fair was very important to us and regardless of changes made to the event, we were very conscious of retaining the feel and atmosphere of the trade fair whilst introducing new products and software solutions. Our aim was to demonstrate that our partners and exhibitors can provide the betting and gaming industry with solutions that redefine, enhance and increase productivity and profitability for their business.

This position reaffirms our continuing success in the licensed betting office, racecourses, adult gaming centres and bingo venues in the UK, a growth that’s being powered by some of the world’s leading brands.

The Betting Show 2016 proved to be very successful with favourable comments from both exhibitors and delegates. This was backed by approximately an 18 per cent increase in visitors, with many industry faces and peers in attendance, including representation from the multiples – BetFred, William Hill and Paddy Power.

The TVC Bookmakers Trade Fair attracts a range of stand holders, from suppliers of software systems, screens, gaming machines and terminals to furniture, security and printing services, from regulatory body the Gambling Commission to industry organisations IBAS, GamCare and the ABB.

As the only show aimed at the independent bookmakers, the industry can come together and see all the latest products and technology at one dedicated event.

The face of the betting and gaming industry is changing with the increase of online services, digital signage and analytical solutions, mobile and tablet in-store integration, which allows businesses greater customer engagement and communication through a variety of technology solutions. NEW for 2017 – KEYNOTE THEATRE

The format of the show has remained the same for the last couple of years, therefore for 2017, we will introduce a new dimension to the show with a Keynote Theatre. Throughout the day, we will have several different presentations.

– Our Event Partner Optima, will be discussing Serverless EPOS and SSBT (Self-Service Betting Terminals)

– Howard Chisholm from the Bookmakers Technology Consortium will discuss the challenges presently faced by the independent sector and highlight areas where BTC can assist bookmakers by providing services targeted at the needs of the independent operator.

– Graham Burgin and Stephen Foster from the Gambling Commission will be providing an update on the Commission’s current priorities and along with advice on their compliance approach and feedback on findings from the compliance assessments undertaken on independent retail bookmakers.
